Josie Faass

Josie Faass

Executive Director

Josie joined RSF as Executive Director in 2019. Previously, she held a variety of research and administrative positions at the Institute for Advanced Study, and at Rutgers and Drexel Universities, where she focused on topics ranging from green engineering and efficient municipal service provision, to development and alumni relations. Prior to her time in academia, Josie worked in State government, overseeing the remediation of petroleum contaminated sites. Josie holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Urban Planning from Rutgers University and is passionate about her work in support of economic equity and environmental quality.

Stephanie L. Cullins

Stephanie L. Cullins

Director of External Affairs

Stephanie Cullins joined RSF/CPTR in December of 2020. Stephanie is a graduate of Rutgers University and holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA). Stephanie has a range of experience working in outreach, advocacy, fundraising, and wellness. She has worked for nonprofit organizations serving marginalized populations such as Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan New Jersey and the AIDS Resource Foundation for Children. She has also founded a small grassroots organization called Yoga Gives. She works independently to push forward progressive ideologies and continuously advocates for economic, social and racial justice for all.

Roxanna Choe

Roxanna Choe

Archivist/Librarian

Roxanna Choe joined RSF as its Archivist/Librarian in August 2020. At the Robert Schalkenbach Foundation, she is responsible for developing and maintaining its archival and library collection. Roxanna is a graduate of Rutgers University and holds a Master of Information. She also holds a Juris Doctorate from Boston College Law School and was for several years a practicing attorney in private practice before joining RSF.

Michael R Ward

Geospatial Full Stack Developer

Michael joined RSF/CPRT in March of 2021. Michael is a graduate of Temple University and holds Bachelor’s degrees in Geography & Urban Studies and Economics. He is currently enrolled in a Professional Science Master’s (PSM) in Geospatial Data Science at Temple University with an expected graduation of 2022. Michael’s interdisciplinary professional experience includes geospatial information systems, environmental conservation, and finance. Michael is passionate about utilizing data and technology to drive conversation and policy changes surrounding equity.

Gail Lambert

Gail Lambert

Operations and Finance Manager

Gail joined RSF in early 2019. Her prior experiences are diverse and include: policy/budget analyst for an agency serving NYC’s legislative bodies; an economist for a domestic trade association where she analyzed and disseminated industry/product information and was involved in international trade and domestic issues impacting industry products; and finance manager for an organization providing services for clinical trials. Gail studied economics at NYU where she was awarded a research assistantship. She completed all coursework, but did not submit a required thesis, toward a Master of Arts degree.

Washiq Ahmed

Washiq Ahmed

Research Associate

Washiq joined RSF as a Research Associate in 2021. Washiq is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA). His focuses are in public finance and economic development. Washiq’s past professional experience includes consulting positions with the International Economic Development Council and ImpactED. He brings a mix of both qualitative and quantitative approaches to research and is excited to support efforts in advancing economic opportunity.
